| 英文描述 | A syndrome of granulocytopathy inherited as an autosomal recessive was described in Irish Setters and Irish red and white Setters which developed recurrent infections of many body systems while puppies. Lesions such as gingivitis and skin abscesses improved during treatment with antibiotics and glucocorticoids but recurred when treatment stopped. Affected pups usually die at an early age from the multiple recurring infections. This has been shown to be a canine leukocyte adhesion deficiency (CLAD) causing impaired leukocyte bactericidal activity. There are commonly a persistent leukocytosis with a left shift, hyperglobulinemia, and normocytic, normochromic anemia. A thickened mandible is often present. |
