Chronic cases may demonstrate weight loss and dehydration. The cecal mass might be palpable in the midventral abdomen. The combination of large and small bowel type diarrhea is a cue to this diagnosis. Dx confirmed by colonoscopy using a flexible fiberoptic endoscope or a barium enema. The barium filling defect has been described as having a 'coiled spring' appearance. |
