| 英文描述 | A dog with the habit of ingesting limestone rocks developed signs of renal failure and hypercalcemia. At necropsy there was diffuse calcification of the kidneys, lungs, aorta, and myocardium. This resembles milk alkali syndrome in humans, a condition attributed to prolonged and excessive intake of calcium carbonate. Dx by ruling out other causes of hypercalcemia in association with excessive calcium intake. |
