| 英文描述 | Ocular dysplasia associated with skeletal abnormalities occurs in Labrador Retrievers, Samoyeds, and German Shepherds. Breeding studies indicate that in Laborador Retrievers this syndrome is caused by one abnormal gene which has recessive effects on the skeleton and incompletely dominant effects on the eye. Skeletal abnormalities included retarded growth in the radius, ulna, and tibia; ununited and hypoplastic anconeal and coronoid processes; hip dysplasia; and delayed development of epiphyses. Ocular changes included retinal dysplasia with cataracts and retinal detachment. Hind legs might be straighter than normal causing difficulty in rising. |
