| 英文描述 | Canine nictitans plasmacytic conjunctivitis is a chronic inflammatory condition of the exposed ares of the nictitans conjunctiva. Can occur in the absence of any corneal disease, or in association with chronic superficial keratitis (pannus); most common in the German Shepherd breed. Begins as raised pinhead sized non-pigmented lesions near the free margin of the anterior surface of the nictitans that increase in size and coalesce to cause thickening, depigmentation and inflammation of the nictitans exposed surface. On histology there is conjunctival infiltration, primarily by plasma cells. |
