| 英文描述 | English Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, and cross-bred dogs were described which had histories of sporadic hemolytic crises. Blood examination showed a responsive anemia, and erythrocyte phosphofructokinase was decreased to 10% of that of controls. This defect causes chronic hemolysis and hyperventilation-induced hemolytic crises. A progressive myopathy was also seen in an affected dog without clinical hemolytic disease. There is no specific treatment. Common laboratory findings range from persistent marked bilirubinemia and reticulocytosis with a normal PCV, to severe anemia and intermittent hemoglobinemia and hyperkalemia. Studies suggest an autosomal recessive mode of inheritance. Carrier dogs with half-normal erythrocyte PFK activities were clinically normal. As stressful activities can induce a hemolytic episodes, such activities should be restricted in affected dogs. |
