| 英文描述 | Lipid storage myopathy has been diagnosed in dogs with myalgia and generalized weakness. On muscle biopsy numerous large lipid droplets were seen withing type 1 and to a lesser degree type 2 fibers. Lactic acidemia, hyperalaninemia, lactic and pyruvic aciduria, variably increased urinary excretion of carnitine esters, and muscle carnitine deficiency can be present. These findings support a metabolic block in oxidative metabolism resulting in lactic acidemia in dogs with lipid storage myopathy. |
