| 英文描述 | Rupture of the chordae tendineae may result in eversion of the atrioventricular valve leaflets and valvular insufficiency. May be acute, subacute, or chronic. Acute form results in severe mitral or tricuspid insufficiency and pulmonary edema. Subacute form arises in association with protracted mitral valve insufficiency and is clinically indistinguishable from mitral insufficiency. Chronic form produces no symptomatic heart disease. Etiology is unknown. Dx by sudden onset of heart disease with a loud murmur, evidence of pulmonary edema and left atrial enlargement, and rule-out of other causes. |
