| 英文描述 | Enlargement of the prostate gland is common in old dogs, and may be associated with clinical signs. Cause is unknown but hormonal imbalance is suspected. Constipation and tenesmus most common, but urinary tract signs may also occur in some cases. Dx by palpation and radiography. Biopsy and surgery can be used to rule out other prostatic diseases if necessary. The gland is not painful when palpated. |
