| 英文描述 | A disorder resembling Fanconi Syndrome of man has been described in the dog. There is a generalized reabsorptive defect of the proximal nephron that results in glucosuria, proteinuria, aminoaciduria, phosphaturia, hypophosphatemia, renal tubular acidosis, and reabsorptive abnormalities of sodium, potassium, and urate. Renal function normal to slightly reduced in the early stages of disease. Renal biopsy may be normal. Death due to chronic debilitation; acidosis with pyelonephritis, papillary necrosis and renal failure occur terminally. Dx by signs, renal clearance studies (i.e. glucosuria with normal serum glucose). Signs usually appear during adulthood, but this was also described in Border Terrier pups (Derrigrand-Haag et al.). |
