| 英文描述 | A progressive cerebellar degeneration in Gordon Setters seems to be inherited as an autosomal recessive. Signs begin between 6 and 12 months of age. At necropsy there is atrophy of the cerebellar cortex and loss of Purkinje and granule cells, particularly in older dogs. Dx at necropsy. A similar disease with onset at 4-12 weeks is seen in the Rough-Coated Collie, and has also been seen in Airedales, Finnish harriers, Chows, and Bernese mountain dogs as well as sporadically in many breeds. |
