| 英文描述 | This is a hereditary ectodermal defect in color mutants of several breeds that results in alopecia, dry coat, papules, and scales. Coat is normal at birth and in the young animal, but develops a 'moth eaten' appearance with hair loss in areas covered by pigmented hair, while the nonpigmented or lightly pigmented areas are not affected. Dx by signs, rule-out of other causes, and histology. Treat by managing associated secondary seborrhea and folliculitis (that may cause pruritus); there is no specific treatment. |
