| 英文描述 | Methemoglobin reductase deficiency has been identified in dogs and cats. The significant clinical signs were dark or reddish brown colored blood and brownish or cyanotic mucous membranes. Dx by determination of blood methemoglobin content and methemoglobin reductase activity. A horse was described with methemoglobinemia associated with decreased glutathione reductase levels. Polycythemia and cardiomegaly might be present in affected dogs. |
