| 英文描述 | Lesions to these tendons that support and extend the tarsus lead to inability to support the limb at the hock, and knuckling. If either one is damaged the signs are minimal, but if both tendons are ruptured the lack of support at the tarsus may lead to the joint touching the ground. Most common in cattle and horses. Dx by clinical signs. Resembles sciatic nerve damage, but the problem is mechanical rather than neurological. Avulsion of the origin of the medial head of the gastrocnemius caused lameness and distal displacement of the medial fabella. |
