| 中文描述 | 因各種病菌造成的舌頭傷害或是傳染病常見於各物種。舌的膿腫可見於兩群的羊群中，棒狀桿菌化膿會被隔離於病灶外。因口部痛處而抗拒進食會造成憔悴跟死亡。這可能是因為纖維性的飼料滲透侵入口腔黏膜造成。在檢驗屍體時可能會忽視這病灶，除非仔細檢驗。 |

| 英文描述 | Injury or infection of the tongue due to various bacteria can occur in any species. Lingual abscesses were seen in two flocks of lambs, and CORYNEBACTERIUM PYOGENES was isolated from the lesions. Emaciation and death followed reluctance to feed due to oral pain. This is probably due to pentration of the oral mucosa by fibrous weeds or hay. This lesion could be overlooked at necropsy unless searched for. |
