| 英文描述 | A family of English Pointer dogs in Japan developed progressive neurogenic muscular atrophy. Breeding experiments indicated that this may be inherited as an autosomal recessive. Signs started at about 4-5 months of age, and progressed for 3-4 months, until the animals were incapacitated. Electromyography shows denervation of many muscles. The biochemical defect is not known. No treatment has been described. |
