| 英文描述 | A series of dogs has been described with meningitis that did not respond to antibiotic treatment but rapidly improved following administration of corticosteroid therapy. CSF showed increased protein and pleocytosis, mainly due to neutrophils. Cervical pain and fever with a stiff, short-strided gait and reluctance to walk are the most common signs, but other neurologic deficits have been seen. Dx by response to treatment. This syndrome is the most common form of meningitis diagnosed in most veterinary hospitals, and in some cases can be seen concurrently with immune-mediated polyarthritis. |
