| 英文描述 | There is a suggested autosomal recessive inheritance pattern in this disease, which has so far been recognized only in miniature poodles. The disease is characterized by abnormal locomotion with abducted hindlimbs, flattened rib- cages, short, deformed limbs; and enlarged joints. Signs are first noticed at about 3 weeks of age. Pathogenesis is unclear, but is related to delayed ossi- fication of the epiphyses and physes, and a hyaline cartilage defect. Animals may have secondary arthritis and dyspnea (due to thoracic deformity). Dx by breed, signs, age, histopathology. |
