| 中文描述 | 傷害對後肢的半腱,半膜以及二頭股骨肌可以跟隨纖維化或甚至肌肉骨化.大部分普見於強壯純色的馬種.有獨特的步態,在後腿腳突然急動往後拉在邁一大步走的前期,剛好在腳接觸地面之前.藉由病狀診斷.受影響的肌肉感覺很堅硬.一骨化肌病被報導在股直肌受傷的狗,細長的肌病或半腱已經描述在狗,並且半腱肌病被報導在貓了. |

| 英文描述 | Damage to the semitendinosus, semimembranosus and biceps femoris muscles of the hind leg can be followed by fibrosis or even ossification of the muscles. Most common in Quarter Horses. There is a characteristic gait, with the foot of the hind leg suddenly pulled caudally in a jerky motion during the cranial phase of the stride, just before the foot contacts the ground. Dx by signs. Affected muscles feel firm. An ossifying myopathy was reported in a dog which had injured the rectus femoris muscle, myopathy of the gracilus or semitendinosus have been described in dogs, and myopathy of the semitendinosus was reported in a cat. |
