| 中文描述 | 這是一種發病原理還不是很清楚的疾病,其症狀是數量增加的角狀組織附著於鼻與肉趾的表面上.曾經在幾種品種的狗上面出現過腳掌角化過度症,如,愛爾蘭梗,波爾多犬.腳掌角化過度症會在前半年出現堅硬,破碎,大量的角質組織生長的情形.感染以及次級的龜裂可能會造成跛腳的情況.此病的診斷可由病症以及排除掉會造成此症狀的其他病因來判斷. |

| 英文描述 | This is a disease of unknown etiology characterized by increased amounts of horny tissue arising from and adherent to the epidermis of the planum nasale and/or the footpads. Has been described in several breeds, and familial footpad hyperkeratosis has been reported in Irish terriers and Dogues de Bordeaux. Footpad hyperkeratosis is characterized by the development of hard, cracked abundant keratin tissue within the first half year of life. There can be lameness causes by secondary fissures and infection. Dx is by signs, and rule-out of other causes of hyperkeratosis. |
