| 中文描述 | 牧場所使用的各種含刺激性物質噴霧、浸泡物、或是化學物質，有時會導致動物發生刺激性皮膚炎。慢性暴露於充滿尿液或糞便的環境中，也會對動物造成刺激。藉由病史與排除其他原因進行診斷。如果用桶子或鍋子餵食幼牛或年輕牛，有時會造成牛隻的鼻子、下巴、與嘴唇區域脫毛；也有病例發現小牛因為耳朵泡入牛奶或代奶中而發生脫毛。在非洲曾有酸腐的草料(含有刺激性酸性物質)造成動物臉部與四隻發生皮膚炎的案例。治療時須移除刺激物質，同時進行對症療法改善臨床症狀。如果刺激物已經移除，症狀應該在一週內改善。鳥類也有發生接觸性皮膚炎的病例報告。 |

| 英文描述 | Application of irritating substances such as sprays, dips or other chemicals can sometimes lead to irritant dermatitis. Chronic exposure to urine or feces may also be irritating. Dx by history and ruling out other causes. Young calves or kids fed from buckets or pans sometimes lose hair from the nose, chin, and lip areas, and in the case of kids the ears may also lose hair if they droop into the milk or milk replacer. Sour grasses (which produce an irritant acid) have caused facial and limb dermatitis in Africa. Treat by removal of the inciting agent and symptomatic treatment of the clinical signs. If the irritant is removed there should be improvment within a week. Contact dermatitis has been reported in birds. |
