| 英文描述 | External hordeolum (stye) is a suppurative inflammation of the glands of Zeiss and Moll, tends to be seen in young animals, and appears as an abscess(es) of the lid margin. Chalazion, or internal hordeolum, is a chronic granulomatous inflammation of the meibom glands, localizes on the conjunctival surface and is more common in middle aged animals. Reported in cats but less common than in dogs. Ostriches lack meibom glands but an ostrich presented with clinical and histopathological findings of the lacrimal glands and conjunctiva similar to chalazion in other species. |
