| 英文描述 | The autoimmune disease scleroderma has been described in a line of White Leghorn chickens. Histologically there is infiltration of the dermis, subcutis and underlying muscle with mononuclear cells. There is vascular proliferation and collagen deposition; occlusion of small arterioles causes ischemia and leads to sloughing of the comb and digits. Signs are first seen at 1-2 weeks of age, and are progressive. This is inherited (Pass). |
