| 英文描述 | A widespread syndrome in turkeys in Britain characterized by stunting, poor feathering, and skeletal abnormalities in poults 3 - 6 wks old. The within- flock incidence can be 40%. The condition also was reported in the US, but less severe. The hock joints are usually enlarged and knobby associated with deformities of the tarsometatarsal bones. Poults which recover usually have altered conformation. The condition is believed to be cause by MYCOPLASMA MELEAGRIDIS in-ovo infection but a small proportion of infected poults develop the syndrome. |
