| 英文描述 | Lathyrism is a disease caused by consumption of the seeds of certain legumes of the genus LATHYRUS, including L. ODORATUS (sweet pea), L. HIRSUTUS (caley pea), L. PUSILLUS (singletary pea) and L. ROSEUS. In laying hens the toxin in the plants, beta-aminopropionitrile, reduces egg production and induces eggshell abnormalities. There is also an increase in egg weight due to an increased formation of thin white. |
