| 英文描述 | Borna disease virus is an RNA virus that is a member of the family BORNAVIRIDAE. A paretic syndrome caused by Borna disease virus has been reported in young ostriches. Affected birds become weak and unable to stand; some showed signs of incoordination before the onset of paresis. Appetite, vision, and hearing were generally unimpaired. Less than 1% of affected birds appeared to recover, and these relapsed several months later (Ashash et al.). Borna disease virus was identified from affected birds and this syndrome was reproduced (Ashash et al.). |
