| 英文描述 | Occurs throughout the world where the vector is present (biting dipterans of the families Hippoboscidae and Ceratopogonidae). The infection is similar to malaria; characterized by scizogony in viseral endothelial cells, gematocytes in circulating erythrocytes, and presence of pigments in granules in infected cells. Over 120 species of HAEMOPROTEUS have been isolated from wild waterfowl, raptors, passerines, domestic birds, other families of birds. |
