| 英文描述 | ARGAS PERSICUS, the fowl tick, is found in cracks and crevices of poultry houses in tropical and subtropical areas. They feed at night and although they may cause anemia and weight loss, seldom cause death. Control should be geared towards removing all stages of the tick from the building; malathion can be used while the building is occuppied by birds, lindane, chloradone, or toxaphene should not be used until birds have been removed. Larvae of the tick AMBLYOMMA VARIEGATUM, found in African mammals, caused skin disease in chickens in Nigeria. |
