| 英文描述 | Pantothenic acid is found in several common poultry diet constituents such as grass meal, molasses, and peanut meal, but in certain ingredients may be bound in unavailable forms. Deficiency in the diet may result in death of embryos, which show severe edema and subcutaneous hemorrhage, between the 12th and 14th day of incubation. Experimental deficiency in chicks produces an atrophied, yellowed liver, and axon and myelin degeneration in the spinal cord. Calcium salt should be added to the diet or water, or injected if a defiency is suspected. |
