| 英文描述 | Hypothyroidism has been described as a possible predisposing factor in several disorders of psittacine birds (Harms et al.). A scarlet macaw developed feather loss and skin thickening, along with intermittent bronzing. There was a normochromic, normocytic anemia, hypercholesterolemia, ortho- and parakeratotic hyperkeratosis, and nonpruritic alopecia, along with only a 50% increase over baseline on a thyroid stimulation test (Oglesbee). There was a response to L-thyroxine treatment as described by Oglesbee. |
