| 中文描述 | 一種在火雞、小雞、野雞、鷓鴣、松雞、鵪鶉、孔雀、珠雞…等禽類中大腸的寄身蟲，是藉由組織滴蟲 ( HISTOMONAS MELEAGRIDIS ) 所感染的。藉由大範圍的潰瘍和盲腸核的壞死造成損害，並可能伴隨者肝臟的二次壞死。診斷出寄身蟲所在的位置，做肝臟和盲腸的抹片或是切片檢查來確診。 |
| 英文描述 | A parasitic disease of the large intestine and liver of turkeys, chickens, pheasants, partridges, pea-fowl, grouse, quail, and guinea-fowl, caused by the protozoan HISTOMONAS MELEAGRIDIS. Lesions consist of extensive ulceration and cecal cores of necrosis with secondary necrotic lesions in the liver. Diagnosis is made by locating the parasite in smears or sections of the liver and cecum. |
