| 中文描述 | 顏面鱗癬病是一種由於挖蟎屬疥蟲感染所造成的疾病，會導致鳥類外鼻孔、周邊組織、與喙部增生。大約三分之一的受感染的鸚鵡也會在脛骨與腳掌出現病變。金絲雀與其他雀形目鳥類可能會只有在腳趾發生病變，在嚴重的病例甚至最造成"流蘇腳"(tassle-foot)。藉由寄生蟲檢查與皮膚生檢來做診斷。 |

| 英文描述 | The sarcoptid mite KNEMIDOCOPTES is the cause of scaly face, a proliferative condition of the external nares, adjacent soft tissues and beak. About one-third of affected parakeets have lesions of the feet and shanks. Canaries and other passeriformes may develop lesions of the toes exclusively, referred to as 'tassle-foot' in severe cases. Dx by identification of the mites on histologic examination of the skin. |
