| 中文描述 | 尿酸鹽異常堆積會導致鳥類發生痛風。當尿酸無法排出時，會發生內臟型的痛風(內臟尿酸鹽堆積)。其他的症狀還包括尿酸鹽堆積在關節周邊，特別是腳部，而引發的關節痛風；關節痛風可能是因為餵食高蛋白的食物，或是腎小管無法排出尿酸所導致。診斷方式依據剖檢時找到尿酸鹽堆積的證據為主。 |
| 英文描述 | Gout in birds is caused by an abnormal accumulation of urates. There can be visceral urate deposition (visceral gout), usually due to failure of urinary excretion. Another syndrome, articular gout, is charaterized by deposits of urates around joints, particularly those of the feet; articular gout might be due to feeding high-protein diets or to a defect in tubular secretion of uric acid. Dx by finding urate deposits at necropsy. |
