| 英文描述 | A wide variety of disease conditions are associated with staphylococci including yolk sac infection, subdermal abscesses of fowl, spondylitis, gangrenous dermatitis, septecemia, arthritis, and occasionally endocarditis and granulomas of the liver. The agent is a coagulase positive STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS. Arthritis and synovitis are seen in young birds 7 - 12 wks of age. Spondylitis is characterized by abscesses in the bodies of the 5th to 7th thoracic vertebrae. Diagnosis is by lesions and isolation of the organism. |
