| 英文描述 | This is an acute, highly contagious respiratory disease caused by the ADENOVIRUS, Quail Bronchitis Virus (QBV). QBV is transmitted from chickens or other captive game birds to the bobwhite quail, in which it causes clinical disease. Chickens and turkeys can harbor the virus without clinical signs and may be considered as a reservoir. Lesions are characterized by excess mucus in the trachea or/and bronchi, cloudy air sac membranes, cloudy corneas, and congestion of nasal passages or infraorbital sinuses. Diagnosis is by history, lesions, and isolation of the virus by inoculation of suspensions of trachea, air sacs, or lungs into 9-11 day chick embryos via the CAS. |
