| 英文描述 | A highly acute and infectious disease in psittacine birds is caused by a herpesvirus, 'Pacheco's virus'. Spread by carrier birds; mortality can be as high as 100% in some species. The severity of lesions depends on the course of the disease and varies from no lesions to necrotic foci in the liver and kidneys. Serology and inclusion bodies are indicative of exposure; final diagnosis is made by virus isolation in chick embryos or tissue culture. |
