| 英文描述 | Intussusception in ruminants can be small intestinal, ileocecocolic, cecocolic, or colonic in location. Appears to be more common in young animals. Usually in the small intestine, most frequently in the distal jejunoileum. Abdominocentesis may yield increased fluid with increased TP, WBC and RBC. Most cases show hypochloremic, hypokalemic metabolic alkalosis with partial respiratory compensation. Dx at surgery. Onset of signs usually sudden. The affected area of bowel is occasionally palpable per rectum. |
