| 英文描述 | Illness and deaths of sheep due to transport tetany can affect 0.05-5% of sheep transported for 12-72 hours before arrival at the lot. Occurs during the entire year, but worse during warm weather. Signs develop during transit or a few days later. Seems to be most common in lambs. Associated with hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia and hyperphosphatemia, but response to calcium treatment is variable. A similar condition has been seen in cattle. |
