| 英文描述 | Some yeasts in the gastrointestinal tract can ferment dietary glucose to ethanol, causing a syndrome of 'drunkenness' and alcohol on the breath. Diets containing from 18-60% glucose have been associated with this syndrome in calves, lambs and pigs. Dx by dietary history, signs, and plasma ethanol levels. 280-320 mg/100 ml of ethanol were detected in the blood of calves fatally affected. |
