| 英文描述 | In parts of Australia, South Africa, and Scotland a syndrome of deformities of the long bones, particularly in the front legs, has been recognized for years. In South Africa this has been reported mainly in ram lambs. Deformities have been seen as early as 2 days after birth, but are usually noticed at older ages. In some seasons, usually 10-15 years apart more than 25% of lambs are affected. Poisoning by plants of the genus TRACHYMENE is suspected as a possible cause of this syndrome (Philbey). |
