| 中文描述 | 因為生殖器官無法生育而不孕的母馬，常常性染色體的數目是不正常的，其基因組中只有63個染色體，僅有一個X染色體而缺乏另一個性染色體(XO)。也有母馬被發現擁有雌性的表現型，但其基因型卻是XY染色體。必須經由核型分析做診斷。XO基因型的動物卵巢會比較小，體型也常常比較小型。血漿中促黃體素濃度常常會比較高，但是雌性素與黃體素卻是減少的。染色體的異常也是造成牛、豬、綿羊、貓、與狗不孕的原因之一。 |
| 英文描述 | Infertile mares with infantile reproductive organs often have an abnormal number of sex chromosomes, with 63 XO the most common karyotype. Mares were seen that had normal female phenotypes, but XY sex chromosomal genotypes. Diagnose by karyotyping. Affected XO animal will have small ovaries and often are small in stature. Plasma LH is elevated, estrogen and progesterone decreased. Chromosomal abnormalities have also been a cause of infertility in cattle, pigs, sheep, cats and dogs. |
