| 英文描述 | Early fetal loss occurs in any species. About 8-17% of mares diagnosed pregnant by early (<40 day) ultrasound examination do not foal. In most cases a conceptus is never seen and the fetus is considered 'resorbed' or aborted. In cattle the rate of loss flattens out after about 50 days of gestation. Diagnosis supported by history of irregular heat cycles or nonpregancy following confirmation of pregnancy. |
