| 英文描述 | Osteogenesis imperfecta is a developmental disease of the skeletal system with diaphyseal dysplasia and secondary bone fragility. This syndrome has been seen in Charolais cattle and in sheep, and is probably inherited. A diagnosis of osteogenesis imperfecta was made in a kitten with fragile bones and reduced amount of bone; the heritability was unknown. This disease has also been reported in dogs. Spontaneous multiple fractures occur due to osteopenia, which could mistakenly be attributed to trauma or to nutritional or renal secondary hyperparathyroidism. Radiographs show decreased opacity of the diaphyseal spongiosae and cortex. |
