| 英文描述 | Sheep and goats can develop swellings in the mandibular incisor region due to dentigerous cysts. The cysts are slow growing and are lined by stratified squamous epitelium. They are usually hard, but larger lesions (up to 4-5 cm in diameter) are somewhat fluctuent. Usually unilateral and solitary, but bilateral lesions have been described. The teeth on the side of the lesion are always displaced, and 1 or more permanent incisor are missing. Most, but not all, of these cysts contain an unerupted tooth. The cause is unknown. |
