| 英文描述 | Ewes in farms in Northern Ireland developed clinical vulvitis during the mating period. There was apparent infertility; the infertility appeared to respond to treatment with intramuscular tetracycline. Hemophilus/Histophilus group bacteria were isolated from the vulvas of many affected ewes, and experimental inoculation of these bacteria onto the vulva produced a clinical syndrome resembling the one seen in the field, although the experiment was not designed to study fertility. A ram placed with experimentally affected ewes developed an ulcer of the glans penis and spread the disease after being placed with a group of previously uninfected ewes. Dx by signs and culture. |
