| 英文描述 | An idiopathic abomasal emptying defect has been described in sheep. Most reported cases occurred in adults of the Suffolk breed, but a similar condition has been seen in other breeds. None of the known causes of abomasal atony were found at surgery or necropsy. Physical examination and serum electrolyte levels were not useful in diagnosis, and the abdominal distention, when present, was barely detectable. Rumen chloride levels are elevated. Dx at surgery or necropsy. There is typically a history of chronic weight loss and anorexia. |
