| 英文描述 | Spanish sheep encephalomyelitis occurs in the Basque region of Spain in May and June. The disease is caused by a FLAVIVIRUS, and resembles louping ill, a tick-borne disease of sheep in Britain and Norway, but the virus has been shown to be distict species in the tick-borne encephalitis group (Marin et al.). Dx by finding histological changes in the brain indistinguishable from those caused by louping ill, and identification of the virus (Marin et al.). |
