| 英文描述 | Overuse is an uncommon cause of infertility in dogs, and is more often manifested by a reluctance to breed. Young boars which are used excessively can develop temporary infertility which responds to a few weeks of good nutrition and sexual rest. Older boars are capable of 3-4 fertile matings per day, and this is not a major problem in older animals. Dx by history. Popular stallions are sometimes used too frequently, with resulting decrease in fertility. Maximum efficiency is reached when a stallion is collected every other day. Some of these stallions develop a 'stale' or 'sour' attitude with slow breeding and/or ejaculatory failure. They might also become aggressive. |
