| 英文描述 | Wild tree tobacco, NICOTINIA GLAUCA is toxic and teratogenic in ruminants and pigs. The alkaloid anabasine is presumed to be the toxic agent. Clinical signs are seen in adults fed the plant, and there may be skeletal deformities in newborns of animals fed the plant during pregnancy. Dx by dietary history and by testing tissues, urine or ingesta for anabasine. NICOTINIA TOBACCUM can cause nervous signs and congential defects in pigs and cattle. Treatment is symptomatic.
