| 英文描述 | Osteochondrosis is characterized by failure of normal enchondral ossification of growth cartilage. Can occur in food animals, particularly rapidly growing animals. Lesions followed by lameness can occur in any joint. Lameness can be progressive. Dx by radiography or slaughter. Most commonly diagnosed in young swine, where it contributes to 'leg weakness', and may be associated with trauma. |
